Citrusdal
Citrusdal is a town next to the Oliphants River and often serves as an aerial landmark for pilots flying on to Constriction, Clanwilliam and beyond. It also serves as a goal for pilots who stray over the back for the first time.
Constriction, about 15 km north of Citrusdal is usually used as goal at least once during major paragliding competitions.
It is often 2 or 3 degrees hotter in the Citrusdal valley than in the Porterville valley.
Citrusdal is a smaller town than Porterville. Most of the accommodations are on a self catering basis. Do not rely on after hour amenities in town.
