DESCRIPTION: Mountain and flatland flying.  The Koo Valley is on the northern side.  Robertson Valley is on the southern side.

SAHPA GRADING:
 - North: PG BASIC under guidance (IPPA3).
 - South: PG SPORT (IPPA4).

WIND: NW to NE. SW to SE.
GPS: S33º44.00’ E19º54.00’.
ALTITUDE: 1415m AMSL.

- South Side:
   - Big mountain flying.
   - Can be cross despite appearing to be on.
   - Clouds can be due to leeward separation.
   - Ensure the macro meteorology is on.
- Can be windy at Montagu.

- via Robertson (Quickest from Cape Town).
- via De Doorns.

Paragliding Porterville - A small Porterville dam close to town.

Porterville was established in 1863 by Frederick John Owen an original 1820 British settler. By selling off portions of his farm “Pomona”, a settlement was established. The town was then named after the popular Attorney General of the Cape Colony, Sir William Porter.
